Polyamory and ENM in Montreal: groups, events and apps (2026)

Montreal's ENM community is bilingual and welcoming. ENM Montreal runs an English-language discussion group on the first Saturday of each month, plus bouldering and book club socials. R2PQ runs monthly workshops in French and social outings across Quebec, and a large French-language Facebook community keeps the conversation going between events.

Groups and communities in Montreal
ENM Montreal
A community group that has hosted events for over a decade, open to people of all gender identities and sexual orientations. The monthly meetup is an open, thoughtful round-table about ethical non-monogamy and polyamory. The group says clearly that it is not a platform for casual sex or hookups.
Meetups run from 5 to 7 PM, and the venue changes: the group's site names Anticafe Place des Arts, and the September 2026 meetup was in Parc La Fontaine. Always check Eventbrite or the group's site for the current spot before you go.
R2PQ (Regroupement des personnes polyamoureuses du Québec)
Quebec's polyamory association. Its two core workshops now run every month on Zoom: Poly 101, an introduction to polyamory, and Poly Partage, a sharing circle about poly life. It also runs social activities, such as games nights at Randolph in Laval and an outdoor dinner and hike at Parc Angrignon, and takes part in Fierté Montréal.
Members get reduced prices on events and free access to workshops. The site also lists dozens of regional and interest-based Facebook groups across Quebec.
Polyamour Montréal - Communauté
A private, French-language Facebook group of about 6,700 members, focused on support and mutual aid for poly people. It has firm rules: no dating announcements and no unsolicited private messages. It was active when we checked, with a couple of dozen posts in the previous month.
Older listings we left out
There are also Montreal Facebook groups aimed at poly dating. We could not see enough of them publicly to describe them fairly, so we have left them out rather than guess.
Apps people in Montreal use for ENM dating
Montrealers who date openly tend to use a mix of apps in both languages. Feeld is popular with singles and couples exploring ENM and kink. #open is built around ethical non-monogamy. OkCupid is a general app where many people are upfront about being non-monogamous. The community groups above are just as important: many connections start as friendships.
Where Blend fits. Blend is a dating and community app built only for ethical non-monogamy, made by a small team in Ottawa. You can link partners (with their consent) and make couple and group profiles you manage together, so nobody has to explain their polycule in every chat. The Events tab lists ENM socials and lets organizers host their own, and there are icebreaker games to play with a match or a partner, such as Two Truths & a Lie and Would You Rather, where everyone sets their own comfort level. Messages are end-to-end encrypted. Blend is new and Canadian, and the Montreal community is still growing.
Tips for meeting people in Montreal
- Pick your language. ENM Montreal meets in English and R2PQ works in French. Both welcome newcomers, and switching languages mid-conversation is normal here.
- Check the venue every month. ENM Montreal moves around, so look at the Eventbrite listing before you head out.
- Try an activity, not just a talk. Bouldering, games nights and picnics take the pressure off, and they are great for shy folks.
- Community first, dating second. These groups say they are not hookup spaces. Be curious, share honestly and take a no gracefully.
- Couples, meet people as individuals. Let each connection grow on its own terms.
- Protect privacy. Ask before taking photos or tagging anyone, and meet new dates in public first. Blend's date plans let a friend know you checked in.
