Become a Founding Host on Blend

You run events for ethically non-monogamous, polyamorous or kink-friendly people: socials, munches, discussion groups, parties, workshops. You already do the hard part, which is building a room where people feel safe. We want to back you for it.

What Blend is

Blend is a dating and community app built for ENM people, singles, couples and polycules. It is on Google Play for Android, and iPhone users open the web app at app.tryblend.app and add it to their Home Screen. Every event on Blend gets a shareable page that anyone can open without an account, while the address and the guest list stay private to people who sign in and RSVP.

Games for your events

Available now. Run a game for the whole room from Blend: the prompts show on a big screen or projector, guests join by scanning a QR code with their phone, and you can write your own prompts. Everyone picks their comfort level, and the game always plays at the lowest level anyone chose.

Coming soon, built for hosts:

  • Speed Flirt. Speed dating for your event. Guests who opt in are paired for short, timed rounds with a flirty prompt, only with people who fit what they are looking for. After each round everyone privately taps a heart or a wave. A wave is never revealed, and every mutual heart becomes a Blend match with a chat already open at the end of the night. You run the rounds from your phone or the big screen.
  • Party Scavenger Hunt. A flirty bingo card of mingling tasks, like "Collect three compliments". Guests prove a meeting by scanning each other's hunt code, which shares only a first name. The big screen shows the room's progress anonymously, finishing sets off confetti, and afterwards people who met can privately choose to connect. You pick the tasks, can add your own, and can offer finishers a prize.

Both are designed and on our build list. Founding Hosts get them first and help shape them.

The offer

Perks, from day one

  • Free Blend Premium while you host. Incognito, advanced filters, priority likes, a monthly boost and rewind, at no cost for as long as you are a Founding Host.
  • We cover the hard costs of your next social. Blend pays for things like the venue deposit or supplies for your next event, up to an amount we agree with you in writing before the event.
  • Your host dashboard in the app, with your personal link, your host code and your earnings.

  • A promoted organizer page that shows your group and all its upcoming events in one place.

Revenue share

You earn 15% of Blend's net revenue from the members you bring to Blend.

  • A member counts once they are still active on Blend 30 days after joining.
  • You earn on everything that member pays Blend for 12 months after they join.
  • We pay you every quarter, once your balance reaches $100 USD. Anything below that carries forward to the next quarter.

"Net revenue" means what Blend actually keeps: the price the member paid, minus app store fees, taxes and refunds.

How members get credited to you

A member is credited to you when they join through your personal Blend link, a link to one of your events that you share from Blend (event links you share from the app carry your code), or your host code, typed in during sign-up. The member has to finish signing up within 14 days of creating their account. The first link a member uses is the one that counts. Signing up yourself or your own partners does not count.

If you ever step away as a host, the members you already brought keep earning for you for the rest of their 12 months. Members who join while you are not an active host are not credited. If you come back, you start a new term.

What it costs you

Nothing. There is no fee, no quota and no minimum number of events.

Questions

When do payouts start?
Once paid Premium launches on Blend. Until then there is nothing to share, but your perks start as soon as you join.

What do members see?
Members never see your earnings or any numbers. Blend's Terms say that Founding Hosts may earn a share of revenue, and in your own posts you should say you are a Blend partner.

Can I stop any time?
Yes. Tell us and you are out. Members you already brought keep counting for their 12 months, unless Blend ends your hosting because of a breach of the conduct rules.

Do I ever see who signed up through me?
No. You see totals only: how many members joined, how many qualified and what you have earned. Member identities stay private.

How do I get paid?
Quarterly, in US dollars, to the payout method you set up with us. You are responsible for your own taxes, and we may ask for a tax form before the first payment.
